GENERAL

What are the dates of the festival?

Healing Appalachia is a weekend-long event from September 10th - 12th.

Where is the event located?

Healing Appalachia takes place in the field just north of the Boyd County Fairgrounds in Ashland, Kentucky. Use the Fairgrounds address: 1760 Addington Rd, Ashland, KY 41102 and  simply follow the event signage to the designated festival grounds.

Is parking available? If so, where?

Yes, all ticket holders driving a vehicle must purchase a camping, RV or day parking pass. Upon arrival, staff will direct you to your pre-purchased parking/camping area.

What time can I access the property?

The campgrounds will open at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, September 9. All parking is first-come, first-served. Gates will close at 9:00 PM that evening. Please note: All RVs must arrive by 3:00 PM on Friday. If you require a later arrival time, email customer service in advance.

Is Healing Appalachia a rain-or-shine event?

Yes, the festival is rain or shine.

Is Healing Appalachia a family-friendly event?

Yes, the festival is open to all and families are welcome.

Are pets allowed?

Only certified service animals are permitted on the premises. Emotional support animals, pets, or non-certified dogs are not allowed. Anyone in violation of this policy will be escorted off the property.

When do campers need to depart the campgrounds?

All attendees must be off the campgrounds by 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 13.

What kind of ADA/Accessibility services are available?
As part of our commitment to creating an inclusive experience for all guests, 5 Points Music Foundation partners with Healing Appalachia to provide a range of accessibility services.On-site accommodations include:ADA-designated parking and camping areas in all zones (valid ADA placard required)
  • ADA spaces are first come, first served (no pre-purchased pass required)
  • Mobility support transportation servicing all parking and camping areas
  • An ADA Viewing Deck for accessible stage viewing

Guests can coordinate support in advance through 5 Points Music Foundation or connect with their team on-site via text at 540-278-9347.

Are there showers on site?

We have four shower trailers on site available to attendees who purchase a Weekend Shower Pass for $25. This pass provides access to the shower facilities for the entire weekend.

The shower house is conveniently located near the Orange (Premium Camping) Lot.

  • Sunday: 9 AM – 1 PM

TICKETS

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets are only available through our website. Ensure authenticity by purchasing tickets exclusively through our official website.

Do children need tickets?

Children 12 and under are free and do not require a ticket but must be accompanied by a ticketed adult at all times. Children 13–17 must have their own ticket. Children under 12 accessing VIP areas will require a VIP ticket.

Do children need a VIP ticket?

Yes. All individuals entering VIP must have a VIP ticket, regardless of age.

Where can I review my tickets once purchased?

Once you have purchased your tickets, a personal account will be created for you. To log in to your personal account, click here.

Can I get a refund if I no longer can attend?

All sales are final. We understand plans may change, but all ticket sales are final, and refunds are not available. Tickets can be sold through our authorized resale platform with CashorTrade.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Tickets can be transferred directly through our official reseller partner CashorTrade

Credential Fulfillment Information

Ticket, Parking, and Camping Passes

  • All event tickets will be issued as RFID wristbands and shipped five weeks before the event to the address provided at checkout.
  • Parking and camping passes will be shipped as a parking permit hanging tag. Vehicles must display the hanging on the car's review mirror when arriving and throughout the festival.
  • RFID wristbands and vehicle permits are required for entry and property access.

Order Issues & Late Purchases

  • If your order has issues, a Will Call and Customer Service location will be available on-site.
  • Orders processed and shipped will include a confirmation email with tracking information.
  • Passes purchased after the shipping deadline will be held for pickup:
    • Wristbands: Box Office at the West Gate of festival grounds.
    • Parking/Camping Permits: OFFSITE Box Office at Ashland Community & Technical College, Technology Drive Campus (902 Technology Dr, Grayson, KY 41143).
    • Bring your order confirmation and a valid government-issued photo ID.

Ticket Resale Policy
  • CashorTrade is the official and only authorized resale platform. Passes may be listed for resale at face value only.
  • Reselling above face value or in violation of this policy may result in the pass being voided without refund.
  • Passes cannot be used for advertising, promotions, contests, or commercial purposes without written consent from Healing Appalachia.

ENTRY & SECURITY

Will there be bag checks at the entrance?

Yes, all bags and vehicles will be subject to a full search.

What items are prohibited?

Firearms, illegal drugs, nitrous oxide, fireworks, and glass bottles/containers brought onto the property are strictly prohibited. Violations will result in removal without a refund.

No motorized personal transportation devices permitted except for handicap equipment.

Are weapons permitted on the show grounds?

No. Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited on festival grounds. Security will check vehicles upon entry. If you have a weapon in your vehicle, you will be required to check it with security before entering. A fee will apply for this service. You may retrieve your checked weapon when exiting the event.

What is your code of conduct for Healing Appalachia?

We ask all attendees to look out for each other and respect all festival staff members and security. If you see something suspicious, please let a staff member know.

Can attendees be removed from the festival?

We reserve the right to remove individuals from the property for violations of our policies, with no refund provided.

Is re-entry allowed if I leave the festival grounds?

​​Yes, ticketed attendees are allowed to leave and re-enter the festival property.

Ticketed attendees are welcome to leave the festival grounds and re-enter throughout the day. 

What security measures are in place?

The festival has security staff in place as well as county sheriff representation. The festival security team will be present during the day, during the concert, and overnight.

THE MUSIC

When can we access the music venue each day?

Festival doors open on Thursday at 4:00 PM, Friday at 2:00 PM, and Saturday’s at 11:00 AM. 

Does the music venue have seating or do we need to bring chairs?

You are allowed to bring chairs into the music venue. However, please note there are designated areas in which chairs are not allowed and blow-up chairs are prohibited. Chairs may not be left overnight—any chairs left behind will be removed and discarded.

Can we set up pop-up tents inside the music venue?

No. To ensure everyone’s visibility and safety, umbrellas, pop-up tents, and other pop-up structures are not allowed inside the music venue.

Can we bring wagons or other carts inside the music venue?

To maintain clear pathways and ease of movement, wagons or other carts are not allowed inside the music venue. Strollers, however, are allowed.

What items are prohibited inside the music venue?

Outside food and drink, coolers, glass containers of any type, and blow up chairs are prohibited inside the music venue.

Can I bring my own food and drinks to the music venue?

No outside food or drink will be permitted inside the music venue.

Will alcohol be available for sale inside the music venue?

Yes, we will have bars set up in the music venue during the performances. All attendees will be required to have their ID checked prior to the performances and will receive a bracelet, which is required to be worn to purchase or consume alcohol.

Is there a schedule for the weekend?

The full schedule will be announced soon - stay tuned to our website and social media.

LODGING & CAMPING

Can I leave and re-enter the campground during the festival?

Yes, you are welcome to leave and return to the campground area with your vehicle daily between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM. If you are not on the property by the time gates close, you will be denied access to both the campground and the show.

Please note, once RVs are parked, it will need to stay for the entire weekend. You are welcome to purchase a second vehicle day parking pass if you would like to leave and re-enter during the weekend.

Are there water refill stations?

Yes, there is a water refill station for camping attendees. It is located near the Orange (Premium Camping Lot), near the main road. 

Can I cook in my camp spot?

Yes, you are allowed to cook at your campsite. You are welcome to use a small camp stove and propane grills/blackstones. Please keep in mind the sites are primitive/field camping, and the property requests that the grass is not burned by camp stoves and fire pits. Open wood fires are not permitted.

Store your food safely

Please plan to have your food in a bin that you can lock in your vehicle or somewhere inaccessible to wildlife (bears, skunks, etc.)

Can we purchase ice bags on site?

Yes, ice will be available for purchase on the festival grounds.

What are the on-site camping options?

We have many camping options to suit all of our attendees’ needs, including car camping passes, premium car camping passes for the closest spots to the stadium, and RV camping options.

Are we allowed to have campfires in our campsite?

No wood campfires, including fire pits and solo stoves, are permitted. The only campfires allowed are gas grills/stoves.

How do I get the best camping/parking spot?

Arrive early. Camping and parking spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Our staff will direct you to the proper, designated areas.

Do you have tents to rent?

No, unfortunately, we do not have tents to rent for this event. All attendees will need to bring their own camping gear.

Can I save space next to my campsite for a friend?

No, saving parking and camping spots is not allowed. All spots are on a first come, first served basis. If you wish to camp with others, we suggest driving in together.

Is there ADA-accessible camping?

Yes, the campgrounds are ADA accessible. Please be aware the venue has some gravel pathways.

Are there hotels or other accommodations nearby?

Please visit the Boyd County Tourism and Convention Bureau for a list of hotels in the area.

What amenities come with the campsite?

All campsites are primitive, with only access to porta-potties. Shower passes may be purchased separately to access the shower houses onsite. 

What amenities come with the RV spaces?

GA RV Spots are all primitive (no power, water, or sewer hookups are available). The Premium RV Spaces will provide power (30amps), but do not include water or sewer hookup.

What items can I bring with me to my campsite?

You can bring tents, coolers, chairs, food, and drinks (no glass). Fireworks are strictly prohibited.

Are generators allowed?

Generators are only permitted in the RV area, and only quiet models are allowed. Please respect quiet hours from 3:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

When do campers need to depart the campgrounds?

All attendees must be off the campgrounds by 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 21.

Can I park at ACTC if I don't have a shuttle pass?

No, parking at Ashland Community & Technology College is reserved for Weekend Shuttle Pass holders only. All others will be towed.

What happens if I lose my shuttle wristband?

Your wristband is your access to the shuttle. Lost wristbands cannot be replaced, so be sure to keep it on for the full weekend.

When do shuttles start running each day?

Shuttles depart from ACTC starting at 2:00 PM on Thursday, 12:00 PM on Friday, and 10:00 AM on Saturday. The final shuttle leaves the Ride Share drop-off location one hour after the show ends each night.

VENDORS & SHOPPING

Will there be vendors at Healing Appalachia?

Yes! You’ll find a variety of food, craft, and merchandise vendors on site. A full list of vendors will be added to the site closer to the festival dates.

Is there an ATM on site?

Yes, ATMs will be available on the festival grounds.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Is first aid available on site?

Yes, a first aid station will be set up within the festival grounds. Ask security staff for help or directions. Boyd County EMS on site to assist any medical emergencies.

What should I do in case of an emergency?

Please go to our first aid station or contact one of our security team members that will be onsite throughout the festival grounds.

Where is lost and found?

Lost and found is located at the box office next to the West Festival Gate entrance.

Miscellaneous

Will there be promotional photography and videography taken?

Photographs and/or video will be taken at the festival. By taking part in this event you grant the event organizers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for publicity or other purposes to help achieve the group’s aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, and press releases. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform an event organizer.

Are there charging stations for electronic devices?

No, there are no designated charging stations for electronic devices.

Can I bring a backpack, bag or purse?

Yes. You may bring a backpack, bag or purse on to the property. All bags, backpacks, purses, etc. will be searched prior to entry.
